History of the Cotton Club

OVER 30 Years in business.

Welcome! The Cotton Club, the original fabric club for quilters, is based in the city of Boise, Idaho, USA - a grand place to live, but in 1986 too small to support a specialty fabric store handling the cottons quilters desired. From that need came the realization that there were plenty of places around the world just like Boise. So in 1986 the Cotton Club began as mail order by sending 4” square cotton fabric samples to Fabric Club Members. By doing so, this made it a way to put great fabrics in the hands of stitchers worldwide who couldn’t see them otherwise, and the Cotton Club was born!

Years later, we're still sending 4” cotton swatches all around the world and making lots of friends! All our products - fabrics, notions, patterns, thread, etc., are now online. However, should you be in our neighborhood Monday-Friday - come and stop in so that you can actually touch, feel and see our products if you wish.

For over three decades we still find that the quilting community continues to be healthy and strong. And so much has changed over these 30+ years! So many of us used to just cut with scissors and sew by hand. Now there are rotary cutters, all sorts of sewing and quilting machines, so many different types of thread, fabrics, notions, patterns and oh so much more! Each year we continue to see growth in the number of new fabrics and quilting notions/supplies produced every year. There are many adventurous quilters who wish to work with all types of fabrics from cotton, to silk, to linen, to wool, to cork, to batiks and maybe even mix them all up; as well as experimenting with all types of threads. We continue seek out unusual fabrics and work to find pieces you won't find in your local shop, as well as trying to keep up with the trends.

All our products and services are unconditionally guaranteed - we understand that we don't have all the solutions. If you are not satisfied for any reason, we want to know. Although we want you to be happy with our service, in general, we cannot take returns on cut fabric. If for some reason we do take it back, there will be a re-stocking fee, so please contact us before making any return. The chances are, your money will be cheerfully refunded.
