Any of these kits will make the Lucky Checker Table Runner by Joyce Cambron. The pattern is included with the kit, as well as, the backing & piping fabric. Joyce's pattern makes sure you are successful! Even the edge of the checker board blocks are on the straight of grain and the backing is added by turning inside out, eliminating the need for binding. She used a piping and it was such a nice finishing touch, we included the fabric in the kit for you to do the same. At first, we thought any 5 fabrics would look good, but as we started sewing, we discovered there was more to it, so we put a lot into the selection of the kits. The pattern is well tested by both advanced and beginning quilters, so feel confident regardless of your skill level. The first one takes twice as long as the next one, so plan on making more than one. Collectively, we have made more than a dozen. Enjoy!

One Fabric Runner
One Fabric Runner from Animas Quilts uses one fabric where you make 3 different size runners, a table runner or a twin or queen bed runner. The challenge - finding that perfect "one" fabric which should be a border/stripe fabric.

Truthfully, we thought this to be a great looking runner, but at the time we didn't realize that the pattern was written for a particular fabric. We thought it would be great with our Holiday fabrics, Fall fabrics, really anything. In fact take a look at 3 winter runners we thought we could "kit" up for you.

Word of caution should you want to make a runner such as what we show you in our picture, you will have to be very creative as to how you put it together. Depending on how big you make it a 1/3 - 2/3 yd of the focus fabric should work. Then you just need enough to make a 2 1/2" border around each 9 3/8" square block.
